Revisited – August/September 2013

Those [August & September] are two months, that after passing, you tend to grasp onto because you know the next season can be hit or miss.  Bye bye late summer.  Autumn can take many courses; all of which lead up to cold and snow.  As I have grown older, I have also grown to very much dislike Winter.   Enough about that for now.

August and September were wonderful months filled with several shooting opportunities.  Two of the most notable events where we spent some time were the Minnesota State Fair and the Minnesota Renaissance Festival.  There were infinite photo opportunities there.  Cyn and I were out and about so much I neglected to revisit August per usual; that is again why I am stacking up two months.  It is a good issue to have.  Autumn is here and so is the color.  We are hopeful for beautiful landscapes to photograph this October.  We shall see – especially when you see this so early in October (Grrrrrr – Winter Storm Atlas stay in the Rockies!):

Another notable item –  some recent news from late September – I asked Ms. Cyndie to marry me.  She said yes.  Wow, she is a lucky gal! No plans or a date just yet, but we are officially engaged.  And on that high note, here are my favorite shots from August/September 2013 converted to black & white.
